The Bonwire Kente Weaving Centre, located in Bonwire, Ghana, is renowned for its rich history and cultural significance in the art of Kente weaving. This tradition, deeply rooted in Ghanaian heritage, dates back to the 17th century and is believed to have originated from two friends who were inspired by a spider weaving its web. This craft was then presented to the Asantehene and became a national symbol for special occasions​
